A Sony Computer Entertainment foi a grande vencedora no BAFTA Game Awards 2014, cerimônia que aconteceu na tarde desta quarta-feira (12) e foi transmitida ao vivo pelo canal no Twitch.
Os títulos da Sony receberam oito prêmios no total. O blockbuster da Naughty Dog para PS3, The Last of Us, recebeu cinco prêmios, entre eles Melhor História, Melhor Jogo de Ação/Aventura, Excelência em Áudio, Melhor Performance com Ashley Johnson (Ellie), e Melhor Jogo, o maior prêmio da noite.
Com os prêmios, The Last of Us iguala recorde que pertencia ao Uncharted 2, como jogo com maior número de prêmios em um BAFTA.
Tearaway, jogo de plataforma para PS Vita da Media Molecule, recebeu três prêmios por Melhor Jogo para Família, Melhor Jogo Mobile e Portátil, e Excelência Artística.
O indie Papers, Please recebeu um prêmio por Estratégia e Simulação, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons ganhou por Inovação, e Gone Home recebeu o prêmio de Melhor Estréia.
Além disso, Grand Theft Auto 5 da Rockstar recebeu três prêmios, incluindo Melhor Multiplayer, Game Design e Melhor Jogo Britânico.
